Subaru car rentals in Charlotte

Was charged for fuel (3 gallons) when I returned the car topped off. Completely unsatisfactory!

Horrible. I rented a car online, went to pick it up and was told NO we don’t have any cars available. Why does the website allow you to book them if you can’t honor it? Horrible customer service and experience

It took the staff at least 30 minutes to find a car that they deemed convenient to rent me. I made a reservation a couple days in advance for a one-way rental. They seemed surprised when I arrived right on time for may reservation and went through their entire inventory to find a car they were willing to give me for the one-way trip. It was very annoying and took entirely too long, especially since I had a reservation that specified it was a one-way rental.

Car was not available, no substitutes were available.

I will not rent from Alamo again.

Easy pick up, no line. Kylie, at Charlotte Airport Alamo counter was so nice, professional, and efficient. We were able to get our car quickly, and had no problems at all. Return was smooth and quick as well.

Female staff person behind check in counter very rude

I had a pick up scheduled at 2pm. But the rental place closed at 2. When I showed up the place was closed and I couldn’t get my rental. Terrible experience.

They didn’t have my car!

The vehicle was not available when I arrived and had to call to transfer reservation to another store.

I booked a small car. When I arrived at the front desk they said they don't have a small car (even though I received a confirmation to my booking) and offered me a bigger car for 600$ more. They said it was because "I booked through a third party", and therefore it was my fault for not having an available car. Then they said that I should wait for 2 more hours if I wanted the small car. So I waited (I had no other choice and I needed the car). One hour later they called me and gave me a bigger car. That's how I found out that they just wanted to see if they can squeeze me to get more money. Then I returned the car earlier but still they charged me for the entire time (even though they said they wouldn't). The whole experience seemed like negotiating in a market in the third world, like someone just wants to squeeze every dollar they can get from my pocket.

I booked a price but when all said and done they overcharged me $800 and I am still fighting with them to get this refunded.

I made a reservation over a month in advance and they didn’t have any cars when I got there. Also their location is far away from the airport. This may have been kayaks fault but both were very poor.

The car had a musty smell and had a tear in the carpet, but the staff is ALWAYS friendly and I have always had great experiences with them.

It was a good flawless process
