They didn’t have the car that we had reserved, so we had to take whatever car they had. I turned the car in the next day and went to Hertz’s because we needed an all wheel drive to get over the mountain roads. Very disappointed in the customer service from Enterprise.

The Woodkand, CA Enterprise staff went out of their way to accommodate us after a glitch occurred in the location of the rental versus the airport where we landed. They weee most cordial and scrambled to get a car ready in spite of not having our reservation. They treated us like family—we loved that! Nothing could have been better! We were totally satisfied.

The car we eventually got was clean, and in excellent condition. But pick up took way too long. They didn't have the car ready for us. When they finally went to get it, they found it had a dead battery. The repairman arrived about 20 minutes later to replace the battery. A while later, they gave us a different car. I have no idea why they couldn't have given us the different car as soon as they discovered the dead battery. Then we still had to do the paperwork. I don't know why at least most of the paperwork couldn't have been completed before they had a car ready. We arrived a few minutes before the appointed 9:00 am time. It was 9:50 when were able to drive away. Returning the car. on the other hand, was very quick and easy.

Didn't have a car resembling the type I had reserved. Outlandishly high rate for collision-damage waiver: approximately 3 times the standard online rate (which I tried to buy but the website malfunctioned). Agent was condescending, and tried to persuade me that Enterprise's insurance was somehow better than the standard insurance available, which is absurd.

My reservation was for 9 am but my car wasn’t ready until 9:45. Car was in very poor shape: or ver 60,000 miles, lots of dings and scratches, noise under the hood, broken key fob, missing fuse box cover, key battery failed and I had to replace it during my trip.

Drop-off location has been closed down for years but still showed up on reservation. Waited on hold over 30 min to talk to Hertz rep. Hertz rep on phone also said it was still open. When I arrived, the receptionist at the connected hotel said it had been shut down during pandemic and had never reopened. Had to drive to airport to complete return.

Nice vehicle at a good price. Wasn’t ready at time of pick up but cleaning went quick. Staff seemed stressed out but friendly. Return was a bit chaotic with customers but not much the company can do about that.

The customer service was excellent. The three members of the staff were all very friendly and courteous. The only problem was the computer glitching. I waited nearly half an hour to pick up my car because of the glitch. The staff apologized but I was fine because it was not for their lack of trying.

Avis gave me a car that turned out to have a massive oil leak and told me to keep driving it even though there was a check oil level alarm going off. The engine finally blew up and I was stranded for 3 hours on the side of the freeway while I tried to get roadside assistance. They assured me that I could get a refund, but my credit card was charged for $1500 more than the original price.

Steve was great! I had a nightmare-ish experience with the people at the airport Avis, so I’m so glad I got to experience the customer service given by Steve. He was attentive, kind, and conversational. He was also so speedy in getting our paperwork done and keys in our hand, and dropoff was just as easy. Thank you for making our trip so stressfree!

Love the fact that if you had family members traveling with you like mother or father you were able to put them as a second driver for free. Very accommodating easy to talk to when I had an issue they were trying to solve it as fast as they could. I would say to definitely check their maintenance record a little bit more the first car I got the cruise control needed maintenance the second car I got wasn't as of impressive but you knew that it was due for a couple oil changes unless they didn't put stickers in the window

They were friendly and efficient. The only complaint at this downtown office was they were low on cars when I arrived at 1030am. My initial rental, a Toyota Corolla, was not available and the option I was offered was a Dodge Ram dual cab pickup. While it was roomy and very plush, my gasoline budget was about twice what it should have been. Also, it made me nervous parking and maneuvering such a large vehicle .

When I pick up the car the fuel level was half but the girl mentioned in paper full but before pick up I tell her check your level was half she check and gave me other paperwork but she didn’t update in system when I returned that car at returning point guy told me you didn’t putt full fuel when I show him pictures for the fuel level and show him prof then him agree but they wasted my valuable time so please everyone check you vehicle before leaving all scratched and fuel levels

The car smelled awful - clearly used long term by a smoker. The key fob was smashed so hard that the "lock" button didn't work and I had to lock from the car door on my way out. I was the last customer before closing so I wasn't able to tell the counter. Service at both drop-off and pick-up locations was good.

The line was insanely long. Too few employees. Probably 30 people in line, with two people working. It would have taken at least an hour to get my rental. Decided to hop out of line, and rented a car from one of the other companies at the kiosk.

Drop of was fast and the attendant was very friendly. The car was not what I expected, it was very dirty in and out, it had a strange smell and it was missing the front right hubcap. I was very disappointed with the car. I won't use Dollar again.

There were at least a hundred people in line in front of us. They were estimating 2-3 hours to get through the line. We luckily had a friend who had just received a car from another company and so we bailed and rode with him. Next time I'm paying more for a better company.

I had to wait nearly as long in line at the Sacramento airport Dollar rental as the flight from Portland had been (& I was 4th in a line of probably 40). 2 agents handling Thrifty/Dollar, appeared quite relaxed in their tempo of work. When I finally got to speak to the agent I asked if they were short-staffed. “Oh no, it’s always like this at Dollar/Thrifty). Probably a good idea to go with Hertz even though it’s going to cost a bit more.” I will be needing her advice.

When initially meeting with the staff to pick up the vehicle, the thrifty representative informed me that my rental was for a 2 person vehicle. I was then upcharged into a mid-size (from compact) and later verified through my email that my initial booking was in fact for a 4 person vehicle. The wait time to actually receive the vehicle was roughly 2 hours (speaking to other customers, the range was about 1.5-3 hours from check in to receiving their vehicle). The first vehicle I received had a maintenance light, so I exchanged it for another vehicle which did not have a service light on, but did have vastly different tire pressures per wheel. Upon returning the vehicle, the person who checked in the returns was not visible, nor did he make an effort to come to our vehicle (another employee had to point him out). The employee offered no support. I also did not receive my receipt until the next day where I incurred a large mischarge for fuel despite returning a fully fueled vehicle.

The car was fine, but I had to wait in line for an hour and a half to get it (at the Sacramento airport). The line extended almost the entire length of the rental building. At no time did any staffer make any kind of announcement about the cause of the delay. They just let us stew. I will not use Thrifty again.

The company overcommitted the availability of their fleet. The wait for the car was over an hour and several people had been waiting over two hours. The staff was doing their best but their customer communication of the problem was awful saying anything to keep the customers waiting. Never again!

I waited in line for 2 hours and was told my car wasn’t available tho I had pre paid for a pick up. I had to pay A LOT more for a larger car or wait at least 3 more hours. I could not wait so I paid the up charge. I felt manipulated and angry. They had over booked their car supply. Many other people in line were also angry & frustrated
