Car was great and clean! I had to use a rental because my flight from Newark to Montreal was canceled unfortunately I could not drop off the vehicle in an Enterprise in Canada so I had to drop off my family in Montreal and drive the car back to Plattsburgh and have my family pick me up with our car. It would have been much simpler to leave the vehicle in Canada

It was a terrible pick up experience. We arrived at midnight and finally got to the front of the line at 2am. We were in our car 2.5 hours after we got to the rental counter. It was a nightmare.

It was honestly easy. I was very happy with this experience. Just getting to the Hertz location was difficult as I was not already in the airport. There was only the hiccup of no cars where I was told to choose a car from. I choose a Corolla that fit the car class I rented. Honestly a great experience overall.

There were no representatives to attend the customers , a long long of customers waiting to pick up car since 7:00 Am were still waiting to be serverd when I got there at 1100AM. Based on that just cancelled my reservation and ended up taking a cab.

Waited for over an hour. Staff sat on mobilephone texting, while he was waiting for some sort of conformation for another customer. He could easily helped me out while he waited. When it finally seemed like I was going to get help, an acquaintance of this man came walking in, he ended up helping her instead of me.

Due to illness, we were forced to cancel our vacation trip. I cancelled my SIXT reservation, but it looks like they're going to charge me a $100 cancellation charge. This is ridiculous. I rent cars several times per year, and I've never paid a $100 charge, no matter what. Since we didn't travel, SIXT has no costs to pass on to me. I won't be back. Our travel plans change frequently, and I do business with companies that can accommodate my needs. I never heard of SIXT before, but I learned my lesson. Confirmation number: 9930000199

They had the exact vehicle make I requested for as opposed to other companies who may instead offer you a different vehicle because it was in the same class. Sixt is basically committing insurance fraud. I returned the rental. Employee receives rental, inspects it, notes down the mileage etc. They have me sign off off on the return. The very next day, I get a damage claim notice. You can imagine my shock and disgust when I got that. If they didn't mention what alleged damage was caused, a witness with no interest would not have been able to find it. I had taken a picture of the vehicle but literally had to zoom in on the picture to find the alleged damage. The damage did not even look like fresh damage, but like some pre-existing paint job issue. If you look at Sixt reviews on Facebook, this is their business model. They do this to so many customers, I wonder how they expect to do repeat business. Never renting with them again, ever.

I liked the customer rep checking me in. I did not like the long wait in line to get to her. I did like the Mitsubishi for comfort and features.. I did not like hunting down and attendant when I returned the car in Asheville. I have neutral feelings about the customer rep in Asheville, no smile or good energy coming from him. Very basic customer service that left a lot to be desired.

Waited 1.5 hours to pick up the car, some of it outside in 98 degree heat as the line was too long to fit in the trailer they use at EWR.

Kayak allows you to book a reservation with Dollar (and takes your money!) even when they have no cars. Beware! Just because you have a confirmation number does not mean they have a car for you! You have to call and verify with Dollar directly.

On the whole, it was a negative experience. The fuel tank wasn't full, the place was understaffed, and so check-in took a long time. Drop off was chaotic and the car needed maintenance. On the other hand, the shuttle service to the Newark Airport was good, but the drop off/pick up location is with the hotels, not where the other rental cars are located. Also, ACE subcontracts with Drivo, so clients are subjected to Drivo policies and rules.
