You can give the right car that was rented. You could not advertise for a car you don't have on your lot. You can be more specific about leaving a 200.00 deposit even when the rental was paid in full. You can specify that there is an additional charge per day per driver. You can accept debit card as well as credit card for vans . You can accept more than one credit card of there is not enough balance on one card for the payment and deposit. Over all your company did a very poor job

When I got to the rental place the doors were locked. There was no one around. I didn’t see any cars in the parking lot that looked like new rentals. I was wondering if the business was actually still open or if it was a mistake online. Ten minutes later while I was dialing customer service, the guy showed up. I reserved a mini (Fiat or similar) and was given a Hyundai Elantra. He told me he had to go vacuum it for me, then came back surprised that it had already been done. I was not aware of their debit card policy which requires a AAA or Costco membership, and includes a soft credit check and an additional $500 hold that I was told wouldn’t be released by my bank until 2-5 business days after returning the car. He did not do a walk through of the car for or with me to inspect the condition / look for damages. I found a receipt from the previous user inside the car on the floor by the passenger seat, which made me think it wasn’t thoroughly cleaned before it was given to me. The rental agent was not especially friendly. He took a personal call in the middle of my time there picking up the car. I’ve rented a lot of cars, usually from Enterprise, although I have used Hertz in other states in the past, and have never had a half-assed experience like this. Overall it was very unprofessional. I would not rent from Hertz again.
