The Chevy trax was awesome. The person at Hertz was very cool, and really helped me get a good start on my vacation. The only thing that could have been better is if I could stay in Florida where it is warm.

Reserved a car online and when I showed up to get it the man behind the counter acted annoyed that I was even there and said they didn’t have any cars and then just stared at me like he just wanted me to leave. The lot was jam packed with cars and maybe they were all spoken for who knows but their customer service was bad and I’ll never again deal with hertz.

The wiper blades presented a major safety hazard. I advised Enterprise to have them replaced immediately. Be sure to check them before you leave.

All went well

Overall, my experience was good. The store could not get the vehicle that I had requested but offered a suitable replacement. I received courteous, professional help when I picked up the car, and the return process at the airport was easy. Just as I was making my way out the door to pick up the vehicle, I noticed an email teasing a "curbside dropoff" plan. Making a one-way rental to an airport, I wondered how the program worked. Would I have to drop my family and luggage first, return the vehicle, and then be taken back to the terminal? Would a driver meet us and drop my whole family with our luggage off at the terminal curb? The email didn't provide details or answers. Clicking a link in the mail wasn't very helpful to me either. The staff at the store where I picked up the vehicle was not aware of the program. After I picked up and the vehicle and had more time, I called customer service and was told that it was too late to add this service anyway since I had already picked up my rental. This (maybe--I still don't know) could have been a useful service for us if it works the way I think it might and if it had been easier to get more information. So I may have missed out on something that could have made our departure at the airport easier. Still and all, the vehicle was great, the staff helpful, and the on-line reservation easy to make.
