Drop off was terrible. No signs at the drop off location - had to ask Marriott security guard and was directed to drive to the lowest level of parking garage. There was signs down there. We parked into stall #1 and it said to make note of mileage and gas gauge which we did but no drop off key area, no attendant, and no directions on where to go. We went back to the Marriott lobby and asked another security guard where to go. He took us to a locked Hertz door at the bottom of the escalator that had no drop box or directions as to what to do. There was a phone number but it just rang - there was no way to leave a message or any voice message stating what to do. We had to catch our flight which was a total mistake on your part which I will explain also. We ended up giving the keys to the security guard and he said that he would submit them but not sure when as this was 6pm at night so he most likely does not work again until pm shift today. Once we were at the airport, I did report to Hertz about all of the above and noted the car was there on time, the mileage, and full tank of gas. The car was not dirty, but there was a receipt from the previous renter and used napkins, so not thoroughly cleaned as they state will be done. I was charged another $200 and $100 fee besides the original $114.86 for the rental. Hertz did contact me right away today regarding my comment that I sent them and we are working on the rental solution and credit for the $300. The other situation that I was not happy with was before I processed this rental I phoned and spoke to a person via the phone and specifically asked if this drop off location had an airport shuttle, as that is the only reason we rented the car. We rented the car in McAllen which is close to our home and had to get a flight from San Antonio that same day so used the rental car to drive to San Antonio for our flight. I had asked the person before renting the car through you if this was a location near the airport and if they had airport shuttle and was assured it was. Neither was correct. We had to get an uber that cost another $20 and almost missed our flight with all the mix ups and running around. Not a good experience AT ALL!!
