Pros (+) Great location close to everything in the center of Madrid by foot or metro, chill relaxed vibe from the personnel and quite clean and spacious regarding the hostel type of accommodation
Cons (-) It could have been a bit warmer at night, degrees were low now in December winter, even though there was a A/C in the room I felt that it would be more efficient if there were also some radiators to heat up
Pros (+) Great contemporary hostel centrally located. Everything is nearby.
Cons (-) Ground too cold, very cold to walk on in the room. Room is also very narrow.
Pros (+) The shower was really an experience. I loved the water pressure. The hairdryer in the restroom was also something that not all hostels have, so extra point for The Hat Madrid.
Cons (-) As I had to leave everyday too early in the morning, I was not so comfortable of brushing my teeth in the room. It would be fantastic to have a sink outside the bedroom, in the same area you have showers and toilet seats.

Pros (+) The location was great - near all the main attractions (right off of Calle de Atocha, near Plaza Mayor and Puerta de Sol) without being super noisy or crowded. The bar downstairs and on the rooftop were great hangout spots. I appreciated the little kitchen as well in case you wanted to store things in the fridge or make tea during the day. Staff were really helpful and accommodating, lots of good ...
Cons (-) Nothing to be majorly disappointed in. The rooms are a little lacking in decor (though that's not super important when staying in a hostel,) and I do wish there was some additional storage space for bathroom items/toiletries - but nothing that was a deal breaker.
