There should more space to hang out clothes
This hostel is a health hazard both me and my partner is ill after our stay. The place has a small of mold or sometimes chlorine to cover the smell. The heater in our room worked for a couple our in the night then was shut down by timer. The bathroom in our room was so moldy i have never in my life experienced anything like it. Me myself work in the industry so trust me i know it was really bad.
Location. Able to make last minute booking. Was close to Kings Cross.
There was a cigarette in my bed. The bathrooms were locked so I had to go down a flight of stairs and along corridoors for the toilet/shower.
The whole place is really great, with nice, comfortable rooms and cozy beds.
The location was excellent and the staff were friendly enough. They have a good bar area with cheap drinks, food and games.
There was a drainage problem in the bathroom. It was a small room, so the awful smell from the bathroom could be smelt in the bedroom. The towels were thin and worn. The place/furniture was dated. Check in took ages due to the volume of guests. I was relieved to only be there for one night on a layover and would not recommend it or stay there again.
Was my second stay at the Generator. Both my missus and I loved our wee cozy VIP room. All of the staff and manager are absolutely lovely, friendly, and super chill. Also, the breakie is divine! Thank you again, Verokina and Taliah.
