The times the office is open are incorrect online and corporate has no idea when their branches are open or closed showed up an hour and a half before they closed and they were already closed got left stranded. Called corporate again they told me I was wrong and the place was open with the lights off and the doors locked. I had to take a 300+ dollar taxi to where I was going that night as everything else was closed.

I flew to Charlotte because I had the rental car setup in Charlotte. That's very important to understand because I would not have flown there otherwise. When I landed I got a voicemail telling me I had no rental car. I called them and they said they have nothing for me and they have no responsibility to help me or do anything. They said its just a reservation. I said can you please help me, I am literally stuck in Charlotte with no place to go. I was driving to Charleston to a hotel for a wedding. The guy told me give me a few minutes and I'll call you back. He never called me back. I had to book a flight for over $800 for my wife and I too fly on to Charleston which is insane.

I have visited the office as my reservation, and the guy in the office refused to give me the car and refused to complete my booking, I give him all the needed documents: 1- Valid passport with valid B1 US visa 2- valid international driver license (Jordanian license) 3-Valid credit card with my name printed on the card 4- my booking confirmation number the employee refused and said I have my own role and I can't complete the reservation here because you hold a non US-driver license, he said you can go to avais office in Charlotte airport, I called the airport office and they said we are fully booked, but you must be okay with your reservation according to our policy I returned to the office and I talked to the same guy (he refused to tell me his name), I told him this is your policy in regard to international travelers and you can find it in your website if you don't want to read it from my phone, and there's nothing prevent you to complete my booking and give me the car, he refused again and said I have my own roles and I don't have car's for you and I'm done with you, you must leave because it's 6:00 PM and I want to close the office. And he left me outside without a car and without being able to complete my reservation and he disrupt my whole plan which I rent a car to do it. Unprofessional, rude and disrespectful employee and I will never deal with this disgusting company (Avis) anymore.

I and many other renters showed up to collect our rentals only to be told there were non available. I don’t recommend renting from this location due to lack of availability. The single customer service agent was very nice and unfortunately left in a very bad situation to break the bad new to multiple frustrated individuals.

Turns out our reservation was for a location “in town” - not at the airport. They then wanted to charge us 2x the price to get the same car (which was available) at the airport. Double the price. This kind of pricing model is most unfair to consumers. I get there are a few more fees for an airport rental - but it shouldn’t be double+. We rented elsewhere a fine car that didn’t have this pirate rate.
