Because of a late flight, my wife and daughter did not get to the Hertz office in time to pick up the rental. They had to arrange to pick it up the next day losing a day of the intended contract. For them to do this, they charged an extra $150.00!! Thank you Hertz, I will not be back.

They did not hold my reservation. I needed an automatic; my entire vacation depended upon getting this car (I cannot drive a manual). Showed up to get the car at 9am that morning -- NO CAR. No automatic. Then, the man behind the counter yelled at me when I told him how frustrated I was. He said he would never rent a car to me. I said, "What an empty threat--you don't have a car to rent to me." I will NEVER rent from any Hertz location ever again. Their company has lost me COMPLETELY, and I plan on telling everyone how awful they were.

Reserved car at 13.00 and came to location around 12.50. Finally got my car around 15.40. Based on other reviews the 2+ hours waiting time in queue for pre-reserved car is not uncommon at Hertz Edinburgh airport. All other rental counters at the airport had no queues.

Car rental pickup and drop-off was good but the prices have skyrocketed since Covid. It will probably be the last time I rent if prices stay this high
