They did not have the vehicle i had chosen and reserved, i schedule a mid size suv and all they said they had was a pickup truck. It did not make our trip up north comfortable because our luggage could not go in the back of the truck because of rain and had to get jammed in the passenger compartment.

When I arrived the car wasn’t ready. They still had to clean the car in the inside. I scheduled it for 8am but went at 9am. That gave them more than enough time to clean and have the car ready.

The day of my rental I was left a message that the location where I was to pick up my car was closed and I would need to pick one up from a location that was several miles away from where I was going to pick up. When I was driving to that location I called the office to let them know that I was trying to get there before 5 but with traffic I would be very close to the 5:00 closing. The person that I was talking to said that they closed at 5 and that was it. He also said if I got there at 4:59 I could get the car. Got to the office at 5:00 and it was locked up lights off and not a sole around. Hertz is dead to me.

We rented a Kia Soul because it was relatively inexpensive and we didn’t need a large car. To my delight, the car was roomy and comfortable and had great features. At pickup, the sales clerk was friendly and knowledgeable. At drop off, the clerk was efficient and very helpful. She went out of her way to find a luggage trolley for us—certainly above and beyond her duties. All in all, a very positive rental experience.

The employees working at this facility were extremely helpful, pleasant and friendly. The car itself was not in good mechanical condition. The engine light was on, passenger side of the headlights were out and the brakes were squeaky. The best part of the rental was the employees service.

Drop off was great. Pickup was nightmare. Lady was horrible. Treated us like criminals. Called me a liar. Made me wait an hour. Threatened to cancel rental. Can’t understand normal things woman. Put me 2 hours behind on special trip with my youngest son. Never rent budget again.

the vehicle was "dirty" from the previous users when we picked it up. the gentleman at the counter even apologized to us bcuz the car was dirty. I did not know that we would be charged a "fine" if we returned the car dirty...I would have certainly "cleaned" the car before drop-off if I had realized that this was the policy (goodness knows, I cleaned up the previous users trash!!!). I have rented from MANY other car rental services & I have never had to clean the car before drop-off nor was there a fine if I did not do so. The price on the vehicle was very good, but I will have 2nd thoughts about ever renting from budget again because of the misunderstanding about the condition of the car's cleanliness! Tell me UP FRONT & I will obey the rules....we were told about returning the car on time, or there would be a fine; we were told about having a full tank of gas, or be charged an absurd rate...but we were never told about the car having to be spotless or we would be fined. Tell me UP FRONT what your FEES are!
